Is the extention down? It isn't working properly.
Good. Causes are good. Intention is good. The only thing is that LGBT should not be mentioned here as it would offend many people, very disappointed, I might remove this extension because of this. Please remove the lgbtq option, it makes everybody uncomfortable and offended, thank you, I'm sure you'll understand.
EDIT - fixing my review to 5 stars because I fixed it. If you get this error clear your cache and delete history etc! Works perfect now. :) <3 Love this extension but just recently this error pops up with every new tab. "494 ERROR - The request could not be satisfied". Please fix asap! :(
I have been using Tabs for a Cause for a year now, but yesterday it stopped working. Every time I try to open a new tab, it says "494 ERROR - The request could not be satisfied". I'm assuming something is wrong with this extension, and I rally hope it gets fixed. Please fix this Tabs for a Cause!
I like the idea of this and I have been using it for a long time but now each time I open a new tab it literally spikes my CPU. I am not sure if it is bug or badly written code but I can't have my CPU running on each time I open a tab. Fix it and I will gladly return.
Super easy to use and you can support a lot of charities!
Works good and feels great passively doing good, however my computer only has 4GB of RAM so it lags a lot.
I really enjoy seeing a new cat every tab. It makes my work and personal browsing relaxing and calming. With how many tabs I open every day. It's a real joy in my day and gives back for a good cause.
I have used it for several years and appreciated it. The past 2 months however my security software has started to flag it as suspicious connections trying to connect each time I open a new tab. Due to this I will be removing the extension since I no longer think that they are working with companies that are maintaining a degree of data protection :(
If been using it in addition to idleforest and it feels great to have some impact just by using my laptop :)
It doesn't work when you have an AdBlocker, just FYI.
Jealous people on the leaderboards.
Amazing. Extremely transparent about financials, which take 6 months to a year to generate (just like most nonprofits and companies, actually!). I literally have referenced, and they are on the leaderboards of one of the charities they donate to. Check teamseas.org and they have a (HUGE) donation under Tab for TeamSeas. They raise a lot of money and they have been proven to donate it. Incredible!
A minimalistic, customisable new tab screen that is eye-pleasing -- and also (seemingly) helps out charities. However, the loading time is a tad too slow & the ads are blocking everything. Maybe make the ads smaller?
I would advise everyone to avoid as they haven't been fully transparent and open about financials in the year of 2023 and now 2024. Already disabled the extension as this is very misleading and harmful.
I'm trying to find out why when I set my Bookmarks to "Show on New Tab," it does not do this with Tab for a Cause enabled. I can set it to "Always On" and it shows, but no luck otherwise. Would be more than glad to increase my rating if there's a solution to this. Great extension otherwise!
I've been using this extension for years. I love being able to raise money for charity actions from the comfort of my own home.
Used for a few years, works great
Sadly this has has been working worse and worse and now it completely stopped working
Excellent app. Does not work on Chrome anymore due to an update Shame really.

I've been raising so much for the LGBTQ+ community! Great extension!
`...does not support HTTPS.` says it all, as if the `Just for Fun` tag wasn't enough factor to not install it. It seems that to combat the evil of fake bot reviews, you have to become one. (lets see if they do care only about stars?)
Fantastic when it works. For some reason, it stopped working for me. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but it didn't work.
THIS IS AMAZING
You guys are doing God's work, though it is worse than normal Chrome tabs, I'm more than willing to help people than to have unnecessary features
Does not fully work with Opera GX but there are some semi work arounds in the forums: https://gladly.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4406545335181-Is-there-an-Opera-extension-for-Tab-for-a-Cause-
Its nice, i like the idea behind it but every time i opened a new tab it redirected me to their website or something when i just want to go and google somethng, i removed it immediately because i guess i dont really like change, i mightve something wrong but i prefer to have the google homescreen
hi, ive got an issue! ive been recieving ads im not comfortable with, and was wondering if there was a way to adjust the ads im seeing?
This is a great idea, and I loved using it the first time. I had it layered with Ecosia so that every search and every new tab opened either planted trees or donated to charity. But I got a new laptop and was required to sign in to Tab For a Cause again. The sign in page says "choose a username," and it's the only sort of sign in page I can find. Of course, it tells me the username I'm trying to put in is taken (by me) and won't allow me to sign in. I'm not making a new account every time I need to sign in, so I'll no longer be using this extension. I'm not the only person who's had this problem, according to Reddit, but I've been unable to find a solution on the internet. I've tried deleting and redownloading the extension, but it hasn't changed. Additionally, I downloaded this extension originally because LegalEagle recommended it in his video on Roe v. Wade, and I wanted to help donate to women's rights organizations specifically and was under the impression I could choose which charities my tabs donated to, which as it turns out, I'm unable to do. Pretty disappointed.
